ROOF TRUSSES MiTek

The manufacturing company LIAHOVICHIDREV EXPORT LLC provides services for the design and manufacture of trusses and rafter structures using the MiTek metal-tooth plates technology.

Thanks to MiTek licensed software, the roof of a building of any complexity is calculated. The designed structure is guaranteed to provide the specified load-bearing capacity in accordance with the requirements of building codes for snow, wind and operational load.

MiTek technology is the design and factory production of wooden rafter truss structures connected at the nodes by metal plates with stamped teeth. The production of such structures originated in North America in the middle of the last century, during the last forty years this idea has been further developed in European countries (Switzerland, Belgium, Germany). Such structures are used in buildings of various purposes (residential buildings and attic floors, industrial premises, cultural and household facilities, sports facilities). The wide scope of application is due to the ability to overlap spans up to 30m without internal supports.

The basis of the system are trusses connected at the nodes by steel fasteners with stamped teeth, which are called connecting plates.

MiTek connecting plates are manufactured by in a wide

range of galvanized sheet steel different thicknesses (T150,

GNA20, M14). Most often used 1-2 mm thick steel of various

qualitative characteristics.

Wooden structures made according to the MiTek system they

are characterized by high profitability not only due tosaving

materials, but also by reducing the time construction. The

structures are made on special equipment: MiTek saw for

cutting blanks and MiTek press for pressing metal gear plates.

After that, the structures are brought to the construction site, where they are mounted.
